Mari Iliadi: solo exhibition “The Gate of Colors," (Knack Studio, Gazi, Athens, 20/5)

Visual artist Mari Iliadi presents her new solo exhibition titled
“The Gate of Colors,” which will take place at Knack Studio, in Gazi, Athens, from May 20 to May 28, 2026.

The exhibition unfolds as a visual journey from intensity to harmony, from lived experience to conscious inner balance. Through works inspired by nature, light, and human emotion, the viewer is invited to enter a space of observation, stillness, and personal connection.

Color and form act as carriers of energy and emotional vibration, creating a field where painting is not only an aesthetic experience but also a deeply experiential process.

The exhibition is under the auspices of the UNESCO Group of Arts and Sciences of Greece.

Mari Iliadi’s work functions as a “gate” — a passage from external reality into an inner landscape of balance, awareness, and introspection.

The exhibition is curated by Despoina Kaklamanou @despiartworld, a London-based curator with international activity in the field of contemporary art and collectible design.

With a distinct presence in contemporary visual art, Mari Iliadi approaches painting as a means of expression and inner exploration, connecting artistic practice with lived experience and the transformative power of color.
